About Scapa 3D
Scapa 3D provides 3D printing, prototyping, custom manufacturing, and laser engraving services. These terms apply to all quotes, orders, and work we supply unless we agree something else in writing.

Quotes and orders
Quotes are based on the information you provide and are valid for the period stated on the quote or if no period is stated then 14 days. Any change to drawings, files, materials, quantities, finishes, lead time, or delivery requirements may change the price and schedule. An order is confirmed when we accept it in writing or when you pay a deposit or full payment.

Customer supplied files and information
If you supply a design file, drawing, dimensions, or instructions you are responsible for making sure they are correct and suitable for your intended use. We can print or engrave exactly what you provide, but we do not guarantee fitness for a particular purpose unless we have agreed to design and approve the part for that purpose in writing.

Inspection and acceptance
You are responsible for inspecting parts and engraved items as soon as you receive them. If there is a problem you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery or collection. By using the parts or distributing them to others you accept that they are satisfactory for your needs.

Use at your own risk and limitation of liability
All products supplied by Scapa 3D are used at the customer’s own risk. It is your responsibility to decide whether a part, prototype, engraved item, or marked component is suitable, safe, compliant, and fit for your specific application. We are not liable for any losses, damages, injuries, downtime, loss of profit, or other indirect or consequential losses arising from the use, misuse, installation, or failure of any item we supply. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific item or service giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

Material and process variation
3D printed parts and laser engraved items may show normal variation including layer lines, surface marks, slight dimensional tolerances, colour variation, and minor cosmetic differences between batches. Strength and performance can vary depending on design, material choice, print orientation, environment, and how the item is used. Unless we have agreed a measured tolerance or finish in writing, standard manufacturing variation is not considered a fault.

Laser engraving and marking
Laser engraving can produce different results depending on material type, coatings, surface finish, colour, and thickness. Some materials may mark lightly, change shade, show haze, or have small edge effects. For coated metals, anodised aluminium, acrylics, plastics, wood, slate, and painted surfaces, results can vary from batch to batch. Where appearance is critical we recommend a sample test piece before full production. Unless a specific finish is agreed in writing, engraving appearance is accepted as normal variation.

Customer provided items for engraving
If you provide items for engraving or marking you accept the risk that the process may reveal flaws, cause cosmetic change, or result in damage due to unknown coatings, adhesives, finishes, heat sensitivity, or internal stresses. We will take reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee outcomes on customer supplied goods.

Prototypes and functional parts
Unless clearly stated otherwise, printed parts supplied are prototypes or custom components and are not certified for any safety critical use. You must not use our parts in life safety systems or applications where failure could cause injury, death, or major property damage unless we have agreed the specification and testing in writing.

Non cancellable custom materials and special orders
If we agree a job that requires us to purchase filament, resin, blanks, sheets, or any other materials specifically for your order, then once those items have been ordered from our supplier your order cannot be cancelled. If you cancel before we order the materials, you may be charged for any work already completed. If you attempt to cancel after materials have been ordered, you must pay the full cost of the materials and any work completed up to that point. Any materials purchased specifically for your order remain the property of Scapa 3D until paid for in full.

Returns and rework
Because items are custom made, we do not accept returns for change of mind. If we have made an error versus the agreed specification we will, at our option, remake the item, correct it, or refund the price paid for that item. Any remedy is limited to the affected item only.

Payment
Payment terms are as stated on the quote or invoice. Work may require a deposit before we start. Completed items may be held until full payment is received.

Cancellations
If you cancel after we have started work you must pay for time spent, materials used, and any non recoverable costs up to the cancellation date. The non cancellable custom materials and special orders section also applies.

Lead times and delivery
Any dates provided are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, suppliers, weather, power issues, or circumstances outside our control. Risk passes to you on collection or delivery.

Intellectual property
You confirm you have the right to provide any files, logos, artwork, or designs for printing or engraving. You remain responsible for any copyright or trademark issues in the content you ask us to produce.

Privacy
We only use your contact details to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, and manage orders, as described in our Privacy Policy.
